Hello, Penarc, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! Evilclown93 16:25, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the edit summary[change source]

Hello Penarc, and thank you for your edits. It would be good if you could use the edit summary box below the edit window, to quickly write about what you changed. This makes it easier for other people to see what is changed, even in the "New Changes" or "History" views. Thanks, and keep up the good work. --Eptalon 09:31, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you add some babel userboxes to your userpage? Babel userboxes tell other people what languages you speak. Visit Wikipedia:Babel for more information and to find out how to add Babel userboxes to your userpage. Panda Bear | Talk | Changes 04:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kein Problem! Yes, I have been on Russian wiki but not much. I wish there were a "Simple Russian" wiki. It might be about my level! Hikitsurisan 19:28, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for trying things out on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it is now gone. Please use the sandbox if you want to do any more tests, and see the welcome page if you want to learn about helping Simple English Wikipedia. JetLover Bam! 04:11, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Quillaja[change source]

The problem I saw was that as it was listed both here and on En:wp, it was not related (totally different order). Looking into it further (and hunting a lot for information and references), the change to the ARG II categorization of it made a lot more sense finally. I redid the taxonomy to reflect it being moved into "Fabales" and corrected the text to get it into the correct family with reference for the changes. I also removed the ARGII see also link as ARGII could technically apply to all plants and would likely be overkill. It would be better to link it through the taxonomy template itself (likely though the "how to read this" help page. Thanks for pointing the problem out. -- Creol(talk) 12:41, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[change source]

Hey there Penarc! When viewing your userpage, I noticed that your babel templates are kind of spread all over the place. Would you like me to make it look cleaner for you? Razorflame 00:39, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Manuel Marulanda[change source]

Hello, Penarc. It looks like the commander in Chief of the FARC died of a heart attack. Most of the sources of the article are in Spanish. I tried to translate one parahraph from Spanish (original in the article). Could you quickly proofread what I wrote, when you have the time, please. My Spanish is probably worse than yours. Thanks --Eptalon (talk) 23:10, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding a strange edit[change source]

Hi, could I ask why you added this image? It doesn't look like it's got anything to do with the Author article, or maybe you were adding it to another article? Thanks. - Æåm Fætsøn /ˈaɪæm ˈfætsən/ 04:16, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish Interwiki for Bahia Lomas?[change source]

Hello Penarc,

I tried to find a Spanish article about the wetland Bahìa Lomas; all I found was Primavera (Chile) which is the commune where the wetland is. Total number of people: 1629, about half of them (687) in Cerro Sombrero. Did I forget something? - Do you know of a Spanish article we could point the Interwiki to? --Eptalon (talk) 07:01, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quick deletion of Tricolor[change source]

The page you wrote, Tricolor, has been selected for quick deletion. This is because the page was a page that didn't say why the subject was notable. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. I-on|I-Гalk |I-PrФjecГ 15:57, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you are going to place a "wait" then you must give a reason why on the talk page. I-on|I-Гalk |I-PrФjecГ 16:05, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Onomasiology[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Onomasiology, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2015/Onomasiology and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Hydriz (talk) 13:30, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[change source]

Hello, Penarc! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Speea humilis". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help!
