User/user talk[change source]

Just by the way, I really like the way you designed your user/user talk pages. :) Good work here. Welcome from me! TheAE talk 04:39, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I'm so happy that this Wikipedia isn't as stringent with template regulation and modification. I feel my ideas are more appreciated here since nobody's complaining... obentomusubi 04:42, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I HATE it, you should tag it with {{UserQD}}, no I'm just kidding, it looks really nice, good work.-- Chris†ianMan16 t c r 04:48, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, thanks. I'm currently designing a Babel template for my userpage. If you guys need ANY help with template work AT ALL, or if you find any bugs in my code, please let me know. I think I'll stick around a bit for right now. obentomusubi 04:50, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just curious but do you really need that message at the top in more than one language?-- † CM16 t c r 22:42, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I assumed since Simple English is for ESL people and little children, if there are Spanish speakers that browse it who speak Spanish or French, they'd be able to read it in their first language. obentomusubi 01:21, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know, most icons have a width of 15 pixels and a height of 15 pixels. Cheers, Razorflame 16:31, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. In fact, would you mind if it was bumped up to 16 pixels? It doesn't matter either way, though. :) obentomusubi 16:32, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Read my reply on Wikipedia:Simple talk first. Razorflame 16:32, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Question[change source]

Hi there. Could you please not mess with the Infobox Planet template? It is currently used by over 1,000 articles, and if the changes you make could possibly screw it up (not saying that they will), then it would screw it up on over 1,000 articles. Hope this makes sense to you. Cheers, Razorflame 02:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it does. I'm in the process of designing an alternate template design and I will propose it on its talk page. obentomusubi 03:11, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I will look forward to seeing it on the talk page, then. Cheers, Razorflame 03:37, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Regarding this, that change makes the template a bit too wide. Would you mind making it smaller? Thanks, –Juliancolton (talk) 02:08, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Temp bot flag[change source]

Hello, I have given you the bot flag temporarily to prevent flooding up RC. Give me or other 'crats a poke when you are done. Cheers, Chenzw  Talk  10:01, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, what exactly does this mean? I'll tag one more page, then I'll sign off for the night. :) obentomusubi 10:02, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
When you have the bot flag, your edits won't show up in recent changes. Since you are going off, then I will remove it so others can see you the next day. ;) Chenzw  Talk  10:04, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK icon[change source]

Is it really necessary to put a DYK icon on pages which were used on DYK? We already put notice of it on their talk page. Reaching DYK shouldn't be displayed like that like we would for GA or VGAs in my opinion. Either way (talk) 12:45, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

your sig[change source]

maybae you should edit you sig to look like this, I think it looks better....you choice though (I don't know if you'll see the special font):

I, too, think it looks cooler. Thanks for the suggestion! obentomusubi 04:46, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to Romania[change source]

Hi there. Please not that I am not trying to bite you at all; its just that I noticed some edits that you made which have undone some of the work that I have done to this article to make it become a VGA:

  1. This edit made use of the convert template. If you would read the talk page, you will note that the figures that it shows are too precise for our Wikipedia. Also, in the difference after it, this, you unlinked the Mures River, which is one of the most important rivers in Romania. If you could, it would be nice if you could relink that link (unless it is already linked elsewhere in the article.
  2. In addition, in this edit, you unlinked two more extremely important links: Michael I of Romania and Nicolae Ceauşescu. Both are very important people in the History of Romania. If they are linked elsewhere in the article, then sorry for pointing this out. You also unlinked Northern Transylvania, which doesn't harm anything by being linked.

Great job with the edits you made, it just took me a while to see that you really did make an astounding difference to that article :). Great work!

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

For your work on Romania, I hereby award you this barnstar! Razorflame 04:59, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject France[change source]

Hey, thanks for joining. It's not quite up and running, so feel free to add things to it. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 17:45, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I'm in love with the French language. obentomusubi 17:46, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good, I speak french ;-) Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 17:48, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nice! I actually have not had any formal training in French. I learned to write some by reading the French Wikipedia. obentomusubi 17:49, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good. Hope to see you editing french articles then! Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 17:50, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration[change source]

Me too, anyway, lets get our hands in the mass. Probably more info, and a cool background as I said, peach or khaki. Could you explain me the basics and together we can mould it up.  ←Kalajan→  17:42, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's a beauty it is.  ←Kalajan→  10:23, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing really, only, when you explain
  • bold
  • italic...

It dosen't come out level, and maybe we should add a link I'll give you in a sec.  ←Kalajan→  16:25, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There.  ←Kalajan→  16:26, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. New users don't have to become experts in one read. They'd be dead before finishing it! Should we sign our names into it? For more credit ;·)  ←Kalajan→  16:34, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, perhaps it's mine. Once I accidently pressed Ctrl and scrolled down at the same time, my screen went all big. But I thought I fixed it. *Shrugs*  ←Kalajan→  16:38, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So how do you do that {{text}} thing then?  ←Kalajan→  16:41, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh right. See you around! Ps. Shouldn't it be added to the welcoming templates page?  ←Kalajan→  16:45, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well I already left a message.  ←Kalajan→  17:06, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great job! I really like it. SimonKSK 21:21, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! obentomusubi 00:17, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template changes[change source]

Regarding this, could you please discuss major changes to widely-used changes before implementing them? –Juliancolton (talk) 00:31, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA/VGA templates[change source]

I've noticed you working on the GA and VGA talk page templates. I wonder if you could explain your rationale in adding promoters and proposers to the template. Is there a need for this? Either way (talk) 02:16, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First off, I didn't care for the aesthetic (tmbox). Second, it gives some insight into the process and who was involved in its becoming a (very) good article. obentomusubi 02:19, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't questioning the aesthetic change, I was just asking about adding those two components in particular. Can't we just link to the promotion discussion rather than having that? That's what happens at En Wiki, for example, with Featured Articles. Either way (talk) 02:23, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I can do both for you. :) obentomusubi 02:51, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving votes[change source]

Please don't archive votes until several hours after the closure of the vote. You need to give people more time to see the closure of the vote before you archive it. I would recommend waiting at least 12 hours before archiving votes. Thanks, Razorflame 07:28, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry! My edits are in good faith. I didn't know. obentomusubi 07:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I know your edits were in good faith. I was just letting you know. Cheers, Razorflame 07:30, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ding! You called? Kennedy 09:40, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
