Thanks for politely changing, but failing to mention what was wrong with the other corrections I have made. I reverted those, again.

Welcome![change source]

Hello, Yegoyan, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! --Isis§(talk) 20:40, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I figured that out by the busy message on your talk page. :) Just wanted to put the message on your talk page. --Isis§(talk) 20:45, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Armenian Genocide‎/Images[change source]

I have deleted this page because it is not standard practice for how to show a gallery of pictures about a topic. I have added the pictures in a proper gallery on the Armenian Genocide page. This can be done with the following formatting: <gallery> Image:Image name.jpg|Description of picture </gallery>. You might want to think about making the one extremely long caption shorter so that it fits the page better. If you have any questions about this or need help with other formatting issues, just ask. Thanks! · Tygartl1·talk· 17:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, Simple English Wikipedia can use a lot of work. I'll make some templates, improve some articles and so forth. Just because it is written in simple language doesn't mean it isn't written for the simple minded. Marlith 23:31, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User rename request[change source]

I'm afraid I am unable to merge the contributions of one account into another, all I can do is rename complete accounts. What I can do is rename "User:Hye" to something else and then move this account (with all it's contributions) over to that name, if you'd like? Archer7 - talk 10:39, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if my explanation was a little confusing, no I can't do that. I can't actually move the contributions themselves, I can only change the name on the accounts they're attached to. So I could change Hye to Ararat (moving all the contributions to that name) and then change Yegoyan to Hye. This still leaves you with two seperate accounts. Archer7 - talk 15:03, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Armenia[change source]

Yegoyan, I realise that this is simple-wiki, and there is practically no quality control. Still, please try to avoid filling it with unsourced nationalist fantasies. It is a good bet to check the en-wiki entries first, which have their content reviewed much more scrupuously, and summarize those in simple English. Simple-wiki is not for material that was rejected as nonsense at en-wiki. regards, en:Dbachmann. 08:07, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Bad usernames[change source]

Yep, that means something like 'only stupid people is so bad fixing', and there was also one called 'Wheels on wheels'. Already blocked.

Swiss Articles[change source]

Unblock IP address?[change source]

Hi, Thanks for your feedback on the 'Misery Guts' page. I'll try to improve on it.

We are a school and have just started experimenting with Wikipedia. We will try to make sure all entries make sense before adding pages.

An administrator called Jossi has blocked our IP address (which is 202.45.119.135) citing 'Vandalism' as the reason. I think this may be due to the proxy server our school uses. As I said, we have just started using Wikipedia today so i think it is unlikely that we have been vandalising pages. Perhaps our IP address is being used by many people using the same ISP?

Please help. We would like to use Wikipedia responsibly.

Thankyou

RFA thanks[change source]

Dear Yegoyan,

Thank you for your participation in my RFA which closed successfully with 19 supports and 1 oppose which didn't count since it was made by a sock of a banned user. If you have any comments, concerns, or any suggestions for me as an Administrator, feel free to leave a note on my talkpage. Thank you.  Lights  talk  13:35, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hi there[change source]

I am new to this (although I have edited wikipedia before)

On wikipedia, there was something called the ANI (administrators noticboard/incidents). Is there anything like that here? (sorry to bother you, your name was the first one I found) Iamandrewrice 12:15, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yoru vote[change source]

Please strike it out instead of just removing it in the future. Thanks Razorflame 02:49, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for voting in my recent RfA, but reading the oppose comments, I have decided that I am not experienced enough to be an administrator yet. Thanks again! Razorflame 22:58, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name Change[change source]

Yegoyan, My username is too close to my real name. Can you help me to change it from User:Cott12 to User:Gingersnap. Or let me know who can help me. This is what they said to do at Wikipedia:Username. Thank you. Cott12 (talk) 23:38, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transliteration[change source]

Hello, you seem to have a Georgian background. As they usually use a non-Latin writing system, if you do articles on Georgian topics, can you put the article at the most comomn transliteration (and provide redirects from other common ones); You are probably doing this already, so this message probably does not serve much. Oh, and welcome back. --Eptalon (talk) 17:06, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of admin flag[change source]

Hello, Yegovan,

You seem to have gone inactive on this Wikipedia. In accordance with our current policies, I have therefore removed your "Admin" flag, and added you to the "rollbackers" group. I would nevertheless look forward to you contributing again. All the best. --Eptalon (talk) 13:43, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flagged Armeniapedia for QD Not notable[change source]

Hi, I requested quick deletion for Armeniapedia. It may be a large website, but it has no mentions in the press or elsewhere. There are many large websites, but not all need articles. Thanks, Gotanda (talk) 04:09, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Iranian women[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Iranian women, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2013/Iranian women and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much.
