North Korea against South Korea

As many of you have heard, North Korea bombed one of South Korea's islands. Currently, there is much speculation about what is going to happen in the future. It might be resolved soon, but it might get worse.

What happened

On November 23, 2010, Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, fired a missile on South Korea's border island of Yeonpyeong. This action has received a lot of attention worldwide, with many heads of state expressing their support for South Korea and condemnation of North Korea's actions.

What might happen in the future

There is much uncertainty about the events that might follow this incident. The bombing is being reported as the worst since the Korean War. What might follow the bombing is still being speculated, with many people fearing that another war between the two Koreas will be inititated.

What is happening now

Newspapers and other media have reported that many people have escaped the island to seek shelter on the mainland. Many houses have been burnt or damaged as a result of the bombing, with few casualties reported.
