The listing of the Secular Republic of Turkey under Neo-Nazism was always under the European category. Why was it moved to Asia? Why wasn't Russia moved to Asia too? Turkey like Russia is a Transcontinental nation physically & politically in Europe. Istanbul is a Great European City, a nation in the UN, NATO, COUNCIL OF EUROPE, ORGANISATION FOR SECURITY AND COOPERATION IN EUROPE, ASSOCIATE MEMBER OF THE EEC SINCE 1963 AND IN NEGOTIATIONS FOR FULL EU MEMBERSHIP. So why has Turkey been moved to the Asia listing and Russia allowed to stay in the European category they were both originally entered in? Aryan121 (talk) 00:20, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I Am A Rapper I Am Worked In The Movie Called Hichki So I Want My Name To Be On Wikipedia David Klyton (talk) 02:28, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It’s wrongfully accusing Russia of “illegal actions in Ukraine.” Since an armed coup goverment of proshenko supresses people who are still living on territories annexed by the Soviet Union after the Second World War. Instead of giving them autonomy or better return them back to their own lands such as Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia. Rusyns and Hungarians in Transcarpatian Region are forcibly regarded as Ukrainian and their identity suppressed.

,hello, i have an issue here. Two years ago Russia invaded Ukraine, annexing crimea and occupying Donbass. Now the russian pages of this events are completely distorted and manipulated, and it's sad that wikipedia is being used for Russian propaganda. 1. The events in Ukraine described as a domestic affair, and full with redundant details. While russian military intervention is barely mentioned. While the rest of the world sees russian military intervention as the main factor. 2. Russian language page is the only language that Crimea joining Russian isn't qualified as Annexation. Also in russian page it's called joining, while most of the world refuses to recognize it. 3. Also in one article it says that russian people of crimea were prepared to defend their land from ukranian neonazis and use they right to declare independence and join Russia. Which is a complete lie, the russian population was never under any threat, for 60 years that Crimea was part of Ukraine there are not a single event recorded of any violence or racism from ukranians towards russians. Also the russian population had no legal right to declare inpedence from Ukraine, because Crimea is a ukranian territory. 4. Also when involvement of russian military is mentioned, it's presented like not a big deal and unimportant. When actually it is military intervention and occupation.

p.s. I tried to do some editing mostly in "talked" section, but it is heavy moderated and I got banned. It's very sad that Wikipedia is used as a propaganda and deception tool by Russia against Ukraine. This is not fare. Is there something to do? The moderators are "OneLittleMouse" and "Exlex". Goblin korean drama rating record[change source]

The information shown on goblin's wikipedia page regarding its rating record is not accurate. It is said that it is the second highest rated drama in Korean cable television history behind Reply 1988, however, the average rating of Goblin's last episode was 20.9% and a peak of 22.1% based on AGB Nielsen. While Reply 1988's last episode record had an average viewer rating of 18.8% and a peak of 21.6%. A lot of news articles came out already since last month proving that Goblin has beaten out Reply 1988's viewership record. Even the casts of Goblin have learned about this and even made special services to thank the fans and viewers. I tried to change the information with a proper source but the first editor kept on changing it back to the old, wrong one. I am asking if there's a way to change the information as it may confuse the readers. I am confident with my informations as I have a lot of source that I can provide. Please help me out. Thank you. I am a graduate student at the American University of Paris studying Global Communications and Media. I am currently conducting research on the diversity of revenue streams utilized by online databases, in hopes of better understanding the sustainability of online media platforms. I am hoping you might be agreeable to sharing some information regarding your media kit to help further my research. Please let me know if this is something you’d be able to do. Thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.

Power Rangers (film) mistake[change source]

The box office section say $59 Million but it has actually only made $40.5 Million JCORYB (talk) 08:09, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@JCORYB: Thank you for that information. You appear to be thinking domestically. The info on en:Power Rangers (film) is correct. The "Box office" displayed by en:Template:Infobox film with input "gross" is the "the worldwide gross revenue accrued by the film in its theatrical run (home media sales should instead be covered in the article body)" per en:Template:Infobox film/doc (the "Worldwide" figure reported by Box Office Mojo), not the US "Domestic Total" reported by that site. The concept is similar here, but more simply displayed as "Money made". Sadly, in my experience, many reporters here in the US tend to report US domestic ticket sales as how much money a Hollywood film or movie made, ignoring the rest of the world. I don't know if reporters in India do the same for Bollywood films or movies, though.   — Jeff G. ツ 03:17, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hall of Fame of Great Americans[change source]

Jackie Robinson is erroneously listed as being a member of the Hall of Fame of Great Americans.
Listed as having been elected in 1970.
According to the former curators (Allan and Susan
Zuckerman) Robinson was NEVER elected to the Hall of Fame of Great Americans in 1970 - or any other year.
The criteria of being elected to the Hall of Fame of Great Americans requires that a potential inductee be deceased for a minimum of 25 years. Mr Robinson was, in fact, very much alive in 1970 - in fact Robinson did not die until 1972.
I do not know how his name was included in the list of inductees but he was never inducted as he would have had to wait until 1997 to eligible.
Further, there is no category for Sportsmen or Athletes.
This is not to say that he does not deserve to be in the Hall of Fame of Great Americans only that there has not been an election since 1976 and someone has defrauded your site with this fallacious information Donmajeski (talk) 07:23, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Falsely being blocked.[change source]

I am Mark Gastineau # 99 - NFL All Pro NY Jets. This week I signed up an account with Wikipedia to update my own profile.

I married my wife Jo Ann Gastineau on December 20, 2007 at Times Square Church in NYC. We are both Christians and members of Times Square Church.

I added this to my profile under personal life information. I received a success message on my editing. However it would soon be edited and deleted by a C.Fred.

Now C.Fred had me falsely blocked for vandalism. I am new to this and wanted to edit my own personal profile about myself.

I am reaching out for Wikipedia to get this corrected and help me in this matter.Editing my personal life and adding my wife is not vandalism.

If this doesn't get resolved, I will be forced to take legal action.

Respectfully, Mark Gastineau Mjgcards (talk) 01:22, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mjgcards: Hello Mjgcards. Firstly, you are editing on the Simple English Wikipedia, not the main English Wikipedia. Any concerns should be brought there. Second, it looks like you weren't conforming to policies. Wikipedia has a strict neutral point of view policy. This basically means that you cannot edit articles about yourself, or articles closely related to yourself. As well, Wikipedia has a strict referencing policy. Any information should have a verifiable source with the info. A personal webpage cannot be used, as it is a primary source, and not a third-party source. en:User:C. Information removed and blocked.[change source]

I recently added information to Mary Lou Rettons page. The information was regarding news published about her and had a verified source. A few days after my changes some people actually did vandalise her page. My changes were taken down as well and I was blocked by a user called BongWarrior. This is unfair as my changes do not violate any policies and are verified. The editor appears to have removed the information because it painted Retton in a negative light. It was unbiased and factual information. How do I reverse this? DoItForKenzo (talk) 11:07, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This page is for the Simple English Wiki, we are different then, and have no control over issues on the En.Wiki page. If you are still blocked there, you will need to place a request on your talk page to have your block reviewed before you attempt to address anything else. I looked at the logs for them, and the only block that Admin done was to an IP Address on that day, and you are here using a user account. This can be seen as block evasion or sock-puppetry. Either way you need to address these issues on En.Wiki. Sorry we can not help further. -- Enfcer (talk) 12:45, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Information Of Waqar Zaka[change source]

I am writing this email to you to seek approval to edit the Wikipedia page of Waqar Zaka (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waqar_Zaka). Waqar has organization called Waqar Zaka Foundation which has not been mentioned in the page as well as his efforts for Blockchain in Pakistan has not been addressed in the page. Waqar is also the founder and CEO of cryptocurrency which till now is called OUI Coin. I would like to get the approval of my account email abubakarali2002@gmail.com to update the Wikipedia page which is now locked. The page also misrepresents Waqar running election and not writing that it was done for a TV show for education about how to run for Election in Pakistan. If it is not possible that the lock is removed please update the information as according to his website waqarzaka.net which gives his profile as follows

"Waqar Zaka, is born on 17th July 1988, recognized as a famous Satellite, TV host, currently one of the most well-known Pakistani Social media content producer, Social Media Activist, a Daring Social worker (helping people in restricted areas of BURMA, SYRIA etc.), Video director, editor, concept writer and trend setter for reality shows & SELFIE VIDEO content maker in Pakistan

Waqaraka is the leading Crypto Influencer from Sub Continents

As social Media Activist, he is very famous for practically helping many, especially females in many cases from Cybercrime to harassment to acid victims to child abuse. You will not see any famous entertainer using his social media fan following from SNAPCHAT to Facebook LIVE helping people in need.

He is Pakistan’s leading content creator for Social media campaign & promotions, currently working for Pakistan’s biggest and highest rated (as per TV rating agency Media Logic) Satellite TV network, ARY DIGITAL.

At the age of 15, he wrote, sung, produced & director a Music Video, Student’s Anthem, “NAHIE PHARA MEI NEY PHORA SAAL” (I have not studied for the exams) which is still popular in students.

Professionally, he started his career as a TV host at ARY Digital (2002), a popular Pakistani Satellite television network. In 2002, when Indo-Pak TV industry was stuck in “LIVE CALL” to simple topic discussion based TV shows, Waqar, introduced a unique TV show format, LIVING ON THE EDGE, where random people on the streets were asked to perform Dares, not only that, Waqar became famous for being the only TV host, performing deadly dares himself, kissing 20 cobras to putting his head in crocodile, facing a wild lioness to reaching restricted areas of the World & helping people in need. Pakistani TV screen was experiencing a brand new change as Waqar taking Living on the edge on a different level, introduced a brand new format of Auditioning contestants, this new format of interviewing people, which according Waqar was a “Stress Test” became so famous that same format was adopted by MTV India for their travel reality show “Roadies”. According to Hindustan Times ‘Raghu director and creator of MTV Hero Roadies (longest running reality show on Indian television) was inspired by Waqar’s hosting techniques and sharp interviewing techniques from his reality TV shows. Also when there was no concept of treating a TV show as s suspense thriller using mood changing background music editing techniques, he introduced this new method of editing a TV show, changing background music on every incident, creating suspense through “After the break” technique, which changed how we watch TV shows and News today.

Living on the Edge was seen as Pakistan’s first dare reality show and the highest rated youth show (as per TV ratings of Media Logic). The show was directed, edited & produced by Waqar himself, where he introduced this new concept of “Host being the Judge” of the show. Contestants from around Pakistan were selected through a tough personal interview phase, later 16 contestants use to stay for 10 days at a lavish place called “WAQAR’S DEN”, performing physical to mental dares, facing each other politics, vote outs & elimination. This is the longest running reality show of Pakistan and only show sponsored by a brand (Mountain Dew) for more than eight years.

In 2006, his format, “XPOSED” made the biggest impact, as it was the first TV show with the concept aimed not only to expose crime happening in Pakistan but a criminal based show where the host does not only discuss issues and helps solve issues on the individual basis. Today the same format is followed by leading News channels of Pakistan, e.g. Sare-e-Aam on ARY NEWS, Target on AJJ NEWS etc.

In 2006, he gained a lot of respect and fame for doing TV shows on tracking, exposing & arresting (through www.nr3c.gov.pk) criminals blackmailing females by posting their private pictures & videos on social media.

He started another reality show by the name King of Street Magic giving the platform to Pakistani paranormal investigators to illusionists but that got banned due to its controversial fights between magicians.

In 2006, he became Vice President of ARY MUSIK, after which he became very famous for providing easy access to new talent, from introducing New VJs to promoting Pakistani music videos through “Video on trial” to giving platform to Vine artist and several other shows like Cricket Challenge, VJ Hunt which focused only on promoting new talent.

In 2007, he started hosting Desi Kudiyan on ARY DIGITAL, (a concept by Jerjess Seja & Obaid Khan) focusing on urban females facing eastern village life. Waqar felt that ‘in a country, with cultural constraints, we can not have beauty pageants he, therefore, took the concept of Desi Kuriyan.

In 2008, Waqar, became more famous and the only host, challenging all claiming to have supernatural powers to try bringing Jinnat (Ghost) or casting spell on him during a LIVE show for a huge prize money. This took place in ARY DIGITAL’s Morning show, after its popularity, Black magic, and Jinnat topic became a part of all the morning shows in Pakistan.

In 2010, he started the concept of “SELFIE VIDEOS”, traveling around the world, posting travel log videos on his Facebook which gained so much popularity that, he became the first Pakistani media personality that was approached by “LINE app”, a Korean company to promote its application, develop and design content to cover the Cricket World Cup 2015. Later a Chinese company called “ZAPYA” hires him (mobile publishing tool that allows sharing of digital content) for application promotion in Pakistan.

In 2015, his “SELFIE VIDEO” not only gained more fame but respect from around the world, as he became the first Muslim who could reach Sittwe city of Burma (where even the leading News Channels or international NGOs fail to reach & help people in need) , all alone, not only recorded the reality of Rohingya Muslims but helped the people in need. Hence, he motivated many others, that without any NGO or TV channel or Government support, one can simply use his mobile cam & social media pages to help the people in trouble.

In the same year, he reached Aleppo, Syria, rescued families, and got them proper accommodation in Turkey. After that, he made this as a mission, a challenge for himself, where ever he saw others cannot reach, he use to take donations himself and this is the main objective of “Waqar Zaka Foundation” too.

In 2016, he became the most famous Pakistani person on SNAPCHAT, where he became the first Pakistani to give infotainment on topics like sexual awareness to Islamic concepts, till today, he is followed by millions because of his blunt and entertaining snaps.

Article on Rastafari[change source]

The article is inaccurate, it acknowledge that the movement is evolving and then uses the oldest sources of information possible. It reads as a race hate group, although contemporary literate informs it is a anti-oppression moment. I had included a section on contemporary beliefs and although it was very accurate an editor removed it. Her work is not inline with Rastafari today. Ras Shilo (talk) 14:21, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you hustle me for $2.75[change source]

"What's on your mind"... ? Hey, that's like the 1984 FB god!

I just went to Wilipedia and the program demanded my email! I'll give it to you here if you will actually write back.

How can you hustle $2.75 out of a poor loser that has nothing better to do than get an education from Wikipedia?

And why $2.75? You think you're Bernie or something? (Redacted) Imafancysomebodythatdeservesreply (talk) 02:23, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bible articles[change source]

Who writes articles on bible interpretation in your web? I'm finding some major flaws in interpretation. Priscilla Aquila (talk) 08:18, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You can make changes yourself, so long as you have some published sources to back up the changes. If the changes are simply based on your opinions, then other editors may change what you have written. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:25, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
