I see a minr flaw in this article: it doesn't mention fair use (even generally would be good). Kbrooks 17:31, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright symbol[change source]

I think Image:Copyright.svg should be used to illustrate the copyright symbol instead of a character because the character does not look that good with the font I'm using. It's not smooth and it sits on the line above the caption. J Di 20:08, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IMNERHO, the thick ultra-black lines in that image make it far too dominating and very ugly. I will have to try making an image out of a lighter copyright symbol. – McDutchie 01:16, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
A serif copyright symbol is now in place. I hope this looks better. – McDutchie 03:44, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Thanks. J Di 03:57, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is a major omission in the article, which is that copyright is different from any other sort of property, because it expires. Even the United States, the country with the most restrictive copyright laws, has a Constitution which only authorises Congress to give authors protection for "limited times". The article should be expanded to mention the different times that copyright expires in different countries.
