Credit history or credit report is, in many countries, an information about past borrowing and repaying, including information about late payments and bankruptcy. The term "credit reputation" can be also used to describe credit history or credit score.[1]

In many countries, when a customer apply for credit from a bank, store or credit card company, their information is checked with credit monitoring organization.[2] Such an organization will check if potential lender have history of some unpaid loans or other problems.[3]
