École du Louvre it is a public institution of French higher education located in the Louvre Palace in Paris and teaches art history studies.[1]

Founded in 1882 in one of the parts of the Louvre Museum, from an institution originally devised to study archeology, it became an institution covering the entire art history.[2] It is organisationally and administratively dependent on the French Ministry of Culture and has been a public body since 1997.[3]
