The 1919 Green Bay Packers season was the inaugural season of the Green Bay Packers, an independent professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The team was founded and coached by Curly Lambeau and sponsored by the Indian Packing Company, from which the team derived its name.
The Packers played as an independent team during the 1919 season, prior to joining the American Professional Football Association (later renamed the National Football League) in 1921. The team compiled a strong record and quickly established itself as a competitive regional football club.
