The Fort Lauderdale airport shooting was an attack in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. The mass shooting took place at the Fort Lauderdale—Hollywood International Airport on January 6, 2017.[1]

At 12:55 pm Eastern Standard Time, Esteban Santiago-Ruiz started shooting. The shooting killed five people. Forty two people were injured.
