An election happened on November 3, 2020, to elect a Senator from the U.S. state of Texas. The five people in the election were John Cornyn (Republican Party), MJ Hegar (Democratic Party), Kerry McKennon (Libertarian Party), David Collins (Green Party), and Ricardo Turullols-Bonilla (independent). John Cornyn won the election and was reelected to the Senate for the fourth time.

A primary election was held for the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. Five people were in the Republican primary election and twelve people were in the Democratic primary election. In the Democratic primary no one got more than 50% of votes, so a second round was held between the two highest candidates. John Cornyn won the Republican primary election and MJ Hegar won the Democratic primary election.
