2021 Bangladesh communal violence

From October 13 to 19, 2021, there was violence against Hindu communities in Bangladesh during the Durga Puja festival. This happened because of a viral video showing the Quran under a temple idol’s feet. At least 80 temples 50 temples (200 mandapas) were damaged. The government deployed paramilitary forces to 22 districts to stop the violence. Police arrested at least 450 people. By October 20, 2021, at least 4 Hindus died.[1][2][3]
