On 23 April 2025, a diplomatic crisis started between India and Pakistan after a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir killed 27 people and injured more than 20. The Resistance Front (TRF), linked to the Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility. India blamed Pakistan for supporting terrorism. Moreover, in a TV interview with Sky News reporter Yalda Hakim, Pakistani defence minister Khwaja Asif openly admitted to supporting and financing terrorism.[10] A ceasefire was announced on 10 May 2025 following an agreement between India and Pakistan.
