Alan G. MacDiarmid

Alan G. MacDiarmid (April 14, 1927 – February 7, 2007) was a New Zealand chemist. He received the 2000 Nobel Prize in Chemistry together with Alan Heeger and Hideki Shirakawa for "the discovery and development of conductive polymers". 
He was born in Masterton, New Zealand and died in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, United States.
