Aleksandr Kabanov

Aleksandr Sergeyevich Kabanov (Russian: Александр Серге́евич Кабанов, 11 June 1948 – 30 June 2020) was a Russian water polo player and head coach of the Russian water polo team. He was one of a few sportspeople who won Olympic medals in water polo as players and head coaches.[1][2] He won two gold medals at the 1972 and 1980 Olympics.

Kabanov died on 30 June 2020, aged 72.[3]
