Ambérieux-en-Dombes is a commune. It is found in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the Ain department in the east of France. In 2009, 1,592 people lived in the commune. The inhabitants are the Ambarrois. The most important monument in the commune is the Château d'Ambérieux-en-Dombes, a 14th-century castle. It is listed as a monument historique. It was restored in 2010. Famous people from Ambérieux-en-Dombes include Laurent Capponi, lord of Ambérieux in the 16th century, and Jean Saint-Cyr, a French politician.
