Anderson is a city in Shasta County, California, United States. It is about 16 km (9.9 mi) south of Redding. 11,323 people lived here at the 2020 census.
The city was named after ranch owner Elias Anderson, who granted the Oregon and California Railroad trackage rights and land for a station.[4]
