Area code 504
Area code 504 is an area code for Louisiana. It was one of the first area codes created in October 1947. It initially covered the entire state but after it was split by 318 in 1957,[1] 225 in 1998,[2] and 985 in 2001,[3] it now covers the New Orleans territory of the state and its surrounding suburbs.
