Armstrong is a city in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is located in the Northern Okanagan regional district.

The population of Armstrong was 5,323 as reported by the 2021 Canadian census.[1] The mayor of Armstrong is Joe Cramer.[2] The city is known for its history in the Cariboo Gold Rush and its important mining industry. The city of Armstrong is named after British politician and banker William Heaton-Armstrong. He helped finance and build the Shuswap and Okanagan Railway, as well as, helped develop the community.[3]

The town is known for its cheese-making. In its early days, Armstrong saw an increase of Dutch immigrants after World War II which also made Armstrong known for their cheese-making ability.[4] Armstrong Cheese is a popular cheese producer from Armstrong who ship cheese products across Canada.[5]
