Sir John Arnold Clark (27 November 1927 – 10 April 2017)[1] was a Scottish billionaire businessman.[2] He was the chairman and chief executive of Arnold Clark Group.[3] In April 2015, the company celebrated its 60th year in business.[4] He was born in Glasgow. His estimated fortune in 2016 was £1.025 billion.[5]

In the 2004 New Year Honours, Clark was knighted, for services to the motor industry, and for his community work in Scotland.[6]

Clark died on 10 April 2017 from natural causes in his home in Glasgow at the age of 89.[7]
