Avadi Railway Station

Avadi railway station is one of the major train stations in the Chennai Central–Arakkonam section of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. It serves the neighbourhood of Avadi, a locality of Chennai located 23 km west of the city centre. The station has six tracks, including two loop lines, and has four platforms. As of 2013, the station handles about 40,000 passengers a day.[1]
