Avelino Méndez Rangel

Avelino Méndez Rangel (26 November 1958 – 25 January 2021)[1] was a Mexican politician. He was a member of the Party of the Democratic Revolution. From 2009 to 2012, he was a federal deputy representing the Federal District.[2] He also was borough mayor in Xochimilco.

Méndez Rangel died in Mexico City on 25 January 2021 after being hospitalized with COVID-19 days earlier, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico, aged 62.[3]
