Bengaluru Vijaya Radha (August 1948 – 10 September 2017) was an Indian actress and movie producer. Starting her career in the 1964 movie Navakoti Narayana. She went on to play mostly supporting roles in over 300 movie, 250 of which were in Kannada, and the rest in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi.[1] She was born in Bangalore, Mysore State, India.
Early Life
[change | change source]Vijaya Radha was born in August 1948 in Bangalore, which was then part of the Mysore State, now in Karnataka, India. From a young age, she had an interest in acting and performing.
Career
[change | change source]Vijaya Radha started her film career in 1964 with the movie Navakoti Narayana. Over the years, she acted in more than 300 movies. Out of these, around 250 movies were in the Kannada language. She often played supporting roles and her performances were appreciated by audiences and critics.
She worked with many famous actors and directors in the South Indian film industry. Her roles were known for their emotional depth and strong screen presence. She was also involved in movie production and contributed to the industry behind the scenes.
Death
[change | change source]Radha died of a heart attack on 10 September 2017 in Bangalore at the age of 69.[2]
