BYD Auto Co., Ltd. (Chinese: 比亚迪汽车; pinyin: Bǐyàdí Qìchē) is a automotive subsidiary of BYD Company. The company sold its vehicles by 4 brands: BYD, Denza, Fangchengbao and Yangwang.
The company was established in January 2003 by Wang Chuanfu, the founder of BYD Company, following the acquistion of the Xi'an Qinchuan Automobile. The first car designed by BYD, the F3, began production in 2005.
