Balázs Nemes (born in Pécs on January 14, 1992) is a Hungarian economist and politician. He is one of the founding members of the Momentum Movement and has been the party's spokesperson since 2018.[1]

He began learning about politics and political mechanisms in practice alongside his studies as a delegate for Hungary at the 67th International Session of the European Youth Parliament in 2011. Although he had already been active in political initiatives like the 2012 student protests in Hungary, it was during the November 2014 protests that he decided to take on an active political role.[2]

Nemes speaks English as fluently as Hungarian, is proficient in French, German, Italian, and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Dutch, Croatian, Portuguese, and Chinese.[3]
