The Bangladesh Women cricket team, active since 2007, was granted One Day International (ODI) status in 2011. They played their first ODI, against Ireland Women, in November of that year.[1] Their first Twenty20 International (T20I), also against Ireland Women, was played in August 2012.[2] The team won the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, defeating India Women in the final.
The team is governed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), which is a full member of the International Cricket Conference (ICC). Bangladesh Women are eligible to play Test cricket but, as of June 2025, they have yet to make their debut in this form.[3]
