Barend Biesheuvel

Barend Willem Biesheuvel (April 5, 1920 in Haarlemmerliede - April 29, 2001 in Haarlem) was a Dutch politician of the Anti-Revolutionary Party (ARP).

Biesheuvel was prime minister from 1971 to 1973. He was also a deputy prime minister, a government minister, a member-parliamentary leader of the Second Chamber and a member of the European Parliament.

He studied law at the Free University Amsterdam.

Biesheuvel was a Reformed Christian. He died in 2001, aged 81.
