Beah Richards (July 12, 1920 – September 14, 2000) was an American actress. She performed on stage, in movies and on television. During her career, she received two Primetime Emmy Awards for her performances on television.[1]

Richards made many guest television appearances in shows, like The Bill Cosby Show, Designing Women and ER.

Richards was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Emphysema took her life in September 2000. She was age 80.[2]
