Beginning of the End is a 1957 American science fiction movie directed and produced by Bert I. Gordon, notable for its infamous depiction of giant grasshoppers (actually locusts) attacking Chicago. The film has become a cult classic, particularly for its low-budget special effects and its place in the 1950s "giant monster" movie craze.
