Belmond is a city of Iowa in the United States. According to the Census Bureau, there are 2,376 people living in Belmond[1] and the town's area is 2.8 miles, all of it land.

On October 14, 1966, at about 2:55pm, Belmond was hit by an F5 tornado which killed six people and destroyed 650 homes.[2]
