Bern is a city in Nemaha County, Kansas, United States. In 2010, 166 people lived there.[5]

Bern had started in the late 1880s when a railroad was built through that territory.[6] It was named by Swiss immigrants after Bern, the capital of Switzerland.[7][8]

Bern is at 39°57′44″N 95°58′19″W / 39.96222°N 95.97194°W / 39.96222; -95.97194 (39.9622218, -95.9719422).[1]

The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.29 square miles (0.75 km2). All of it is land.[2]
