Bernard Pons

Bernard Pons (18 July 1926 – 27 April 2022) was a French politician and medical doctor. He was a member of the Union of Democrats for the Republic from 1971 to 1976 and a member of the Rally for the Republic party after. He was the Minister for Transport from 1995 until 1997.[1] He was an advisor for the Union for a Popular Movement until 2008 after his retirement from active politics in 2002.[2] Pons was also a member of the National Assembly from 1997 until 2002. Pons was born in Béziers, France.

Pons died on 27 April 2022 in Aigues-Mortes, France at the age of 95.[3]
