Bhāratmātā (Hindi, Bengali, from Sanskrit Bhāratāmbā भारताम्बा; अम्बा ambā means 'mother', also known as Mother Carrier in English) is the National personification of the modern Republic of India "Bharat" as a Mother goddess. The motto Bharat Mata ki Jai’ ("Victory for Mother India") is used by the Indian Army.[1]
