Summary[change | change source]

On the first night, the houseguests were told of a surprise. They then were told that they had to pair up in groups of two. Before the HoH (Head of Household) competition, the houseguests were welcomed to three past dous. The first were Rachel and Brendon (from Big Brother 12). The second were Jordan and Jeff (from Big Brother 11). The last dous were Danielle and Dick (from Big Brother 8). During the HoH competition, the houseguests had to hold onto a banana. They were later squirted with chocolate and whip cream, while being rocked back-and-forth, to make the competition harder. Rachel then won the first HoH competition of the summer and her partner Brendon were safe from being evicted from the game. Host, Julie Chen, told the houseguests that Rachel had to choose only one dou. She was also told that only one of them would be evicted. However, the houseguest who wasn't eliminated can be safe until there are ten remaining houseguests.

Notes[change | change source]

  • ^Note 1 :      This HouseGuest is paired with the current week's Head of Household, and is immune from nomination for the week.
  • ^Note 2 :      This HouseGuest survived an eviction vote or lost their partner during the first three weeks of the game, and received a "Golden Key" as a reward, granting her — among other perks — automatic immunity until ten HouseGuests remain.
  • ^Note 3 : The Power of Veto competition was played as individuals. Due to the fact that the duos were still in play, the PoV winner had a choice to remove the nominated duo from eviction.
  • ^Note 4 : During the second Power of Veto competition, Rachel took the punishment of being on slop for the next two weeks, although she is not considered to be a Have Not.
  • ^Note 5 : Due to a luxury competition that took place in week three, all the houseguests were immune from being a Have Not for the week.
  • ^Note 6 : During the Head of Household competition, Brendon, Jordan, and Lawon picked snowballs that contained Have Not cards so all will be Have Nots for the week.
  • ^Note 7 : A live battle was held after the eviction and before the Head of Household competition on Day 41 to determine which evicted HouseGuest would be able to return to the House. The viewing public voted all week for Keith, Cassi, Dominic or Brendon to participate in the live battle. Brendon won the public vote and competed against Lawon, the then most recent evictee. Brendon won the battle and was re-instated as a full HouseGuest eligible to win.
  • ^Note 8 : As HoH Jeff chose the Have Nots for the week.
  • ^Note 9 : Week 7 is a double eviction week. Following the normal eviction, the remaining HouseGuests will play a week's worth of game — including HoH and Veto competitions, and Nomination, Veto, and Eviction ceremonies — during the remainder of the live show, culminating in a second eviction for the week.
  • ^Note 10 : Kalia, as Head of Household, had to vote to break a tie on Day 55.
  • ^Note 11 : Porsche opened Pandora's Box on Day 56 and the remaining six were put into new duos for the week. The new duos are Adam & Shelly (1), Jordan & Rachel (2), and Kalia & Porsche (3).

Twist[change | change source]

As revealed on ET Canada on June 28, 2011; Julie Chen revealed that Dynamic Duos of seasons past would have a major impact on this season and the twist.
