Bill Belichick

William Belichick (born April 16, 1952) is an American football coach. He is the head coach of the New England Patriots, a team in the National Football League (NFL). Many people think he is one of the best football coaches ever.^[1]^[2] He has won six Super Bowls as a head coach. He won all of them with the Patriots.^[3] He also won two Super Bowls as a coach for the New York Giants.

Belichick started coaching in 1975.^[4] In 1985, he became the coach for the New York Giants' defense. He worked with Bill Parcells on the Giants. Parcells and Belichick won two Super Bowls together.^[5] In 1991, Belichick left the Giants. He became the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. He coached the Browns for five seasons. He was fired from the Browns in 1995.^[6] He joined the New York Jets, but left the team after one day. He became the head coach of the New England Patriots on January 27, 2000.^[7]
