Bitter Rice (Italian: Riso Amaro [ˈriːso aˈmaːro, ˈriːzo -]) is a 1949 Italian drama movie directed by Giuseppe De Santis and starring Vittorio Gassman, Doris Dowling, Silvana Mangano, Raf Vallone, Checco Rissone, Nico Pepe, Adriana Sivieri, Carlo Mazzarella. It was nominated for an Academy Awards in 1951.
