Blake Coleman (born November 28, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey forward. He currently plays for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL) and serves as an alternate captain. He has also played for the New Jersey Devils and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Coleman is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, winning back-to-back cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021.

Before playing in the NHL, Coleman played one season with the Tri-City Storm and two seasons with the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League (USHL), as well as, four years with the Miami RedHawks of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA)/National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). He had a sucessful time with his teams. With the Ice, he finished the 2010–11 season scoring 34 goals and recording 58 assists for 92 points. For his efforts, he was named the Dave Tyler Junior Player of the Year, Player of the Year, Forward of the Year, and was named to the First All-Star Team.[1][2][3] With the RedHawks, he was named the NCHC Tournament MVP and was also named to the NCHC All-Tournament Team.[4]

He was drafted 75th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2011 NHL entry draft.[5] On July 1, 2015, Coleman signed a two-year entry-level contract to join the Devils.[6] On December 14, 2016, the Bruins called him up and Coleman made his NHL debut in a 3–2 overtime loss against the Edmonton Oilers.[7] On January 17, 2017, he recorded his first NHL point, assisting on a Beau Bennett goal in a 4–3 win against the Minnesota Wild.[8] On March 26, Coleman scored his first NHL goal against Kari Lehtonen in a 2–1 overtime loss against the Dallas Stars.[9] On July 26, Coleman signed a one-year, $660,000 contract to stay with the Devils.[10] On July 17, 2018, Coleman signed a three-year, $5.4 million contract to stay with the Devils.[11]

On February 16, 2020, the Devils traded Coleman to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Nolan Foote and a 2020 conditional first-round draft pick.[12] He helped the Lightning when they went on a run in the playoffs. They defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets, Boston Bruins, and New York Islanders. They went on to defeat the Dallas Stars four games to two in the Final to win the Stanley Cup.[13] The team was successful the next season as well. He helped the Lightning as they once again went on a run in the playoffs. They defeated the Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and New York Islanders. They went on to defeat the Montreal Canadiens four games to one in the Final to win back-to-back Stanley Cups.[14]

On July 28, 2021, Coleman signed a six-year, $29.4 million contract to join the Calgary Flames.[15]
