Bob Katter

Robert Carl "Bob" Katter (born 22 May 1945) is an Australian politician. He has been a member of the House of Representatives for the Division of Kennedy since 1993.[1] He has led his own political party, Katter's Australian Party, since 2011. He was the only person to win a seat in his party in the 2016 federal election. He was a member of the Nationals until 2001. He was also an independent from 2001 to 2011.

Katter was born in Cloncurry, Queensland. He is of Lebanese ancestry. His father, Bob Katter Sr., was a parliament member of Kennedy. He has five children. His son, Robbie, is the leader of Katter's Australian Party in Queensland.
