From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Boo (March 16, 2006 – January 18, 2019) was a Pomeranian dog that became an Internet celebrity. He was born in the San Francisco Bay Area. He had a popular Facebook page and four photo books were sold.[1] As of March 2016, Boo had over 17.5 million Likes on Facebook. Boo was owned by Irene Ahn, a Facebook employee, who was also the owner of Boo's older brother, Buddy (died September 6, 2017).

He became popular in October 2010 after singer Kesha sent a tweet that she had a new boyfriend, which showed a picture of Boo.

Boo died in his sleep on the morning of January 18, 2019 of heart failure, aged 12. His owners said that he had begun to show signs of heart trouble after Buddy's death.[2][3]
