Brahmamuhurta

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Prayagraj Junction railway station at 5:52 am in December, 75 minutes before sunrise.

Brahmamuhurta is a 48-minute postmidnight period (muhurta) that begins 96 minutes before sunrise, and ends 48 minutes before sunrise.

It is customarily the penultimate phase or muhurta of the nighttime, regarded as a favorable window for all yoga disciplines and the most suitable time for meditation, devotion, or any other spiritual ritual. Spiritual activities performed late postmidnight are said to have a greater effect than in any other part of the day.[1]
