The CAM Clade includes Archaeplastida (plants) and a group called Pancryptista, which has species like Cryptista and Microheliella maris. A study from 2022 showed that Pancryptista is closely related to Archaeplastida, so they are like siblings in a family tree. Together, these groups are called CAM, which stands for Cryptista, Archaeplastida, and Microheliella.
