California State University, Sacramento, also known as Sacramento State University, is a public university in Sacramento, California. The university has about 29,241 students. It was founded in 1947. The current president of the university is Alexander Gonzalez.

Sports[change | change source]

The men's and women's sports teams of the university are called the Hornets. They have 21 varsity teams, almost all of which play in the Big Sky Conference. The baseball team plays in the Western Athletic Conference, and the women's rowing team is in the American Athletic Conference.
