Carmine Benincasa

Carmine Benincasa (17 December 1947 – 3 August 2020) was an Italian art critic, philosopher and editor. He was an art historian professor. Benincasa was born in Eboli, Italy.

He was a professor of art history at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata, the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Professor of History of Art at the Faculty of Architecture of the University La Sapienza in Rome.

From 1978 to 1982 he was a member of the Venice Biennale Visual Arts Committee.[1]

Benincasa died on 3 August 2020 at the age of 72.[2]
