Carter Benedict Burwell (born November 18, 1954) is an American film composer. He has received Academy Awards nominations for Best Original Score for Carol (2015), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and The Banshees of Inisherin (2022).

Burwell was born in New York City to Natalie Benedict and Charles Burwell.
