Category:Pages with missing references list

This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories.

This is a hidden category. It is not shown on its member pages, unless the corresponding user preference (appearance → show hidden categories) is set.

This page has a backlog that requires the attention of willing editors.
This notice will hide when this category has fewer than 10 items. (recount)

Administrators: Please do not delete this category even if it is empty!
This category may be empty occasionally or even most of the time.

This category tracks pages that use <ref> tags, but don't have a <references/> depository for them to appear in. One of the following error messages will appear on each page.

• Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page, but the references will not show without a {{Reflist}} template or a <references/> tag.
• Cite error: There are <ref group="$1"> tags on this page, but the references will not show without a {{Reflist|group=$1}} template or a <references group="$1"/> tag.
• Cite error: There are <ref group=lower-alpha> tags or {{efn}} templates on this page, but the references will not show without a {{reflist|group=lower-alpha}} template or {{notelist}} template (see the help page).

See Help:Cite errors for causes and solutions. An automated task, currently run by Thehelpfulbot (talk · contribs) fixes many of the errors. This category is generated through MediaWiki:Cite error refs without references and MediaWiki:Cite error group refs without references.
