Cecil Leonard

Cecil Leonard (July 20, 1946 – August 5, 2020) was an American football defensive back. He played two seasons with the New York Jets of the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Tuskegee University. Leonard was born in Sylacauga, Alabama.[1] Leonard was also a member of the Birmingham Americans of the World Football League (WFL).

Leonard died on August 5, 2020 in Statesboro, Georgia at the age of 74.[2] His family and close friends will hold a memorial service in his hometown on August 23rd in Sylacauga, Alabama.
