Charles Boycott

Charles Boycott (12 March 1832 – 19 June 1897) was the man on which the modern word of refusing trade or any commercial or social relation with a person or organisation “boycott” invented.

“Boycott” us not the origin English word but it was named for the name of Charles Boycott.

Strangely he was the person who was first victim of being “boycott”. Farmers of Mayo County of Ireland had started the movement of refusing any trade, commercial or social relationships with Charles Boycott
