Chicken paprikash is a Hungarian stew made with chicken meat that is seasoned with paprika.[1] The food was brought to the United States by Hungarian Jewish immigrants.[2]

Chicken paprikash is made by cooking chicken pieces in a small amount of butter. Then, the chicken is added to a broth made out of water, paprika, garlic and other spices.[1] Some people add tomato to the chicken paprikash.[3]
