Claus Offe

Claus Offe (16 March 1940 – October 2025) was a German political sociologist. They were known for working with the Frankfurt School. Offe was born in Berlin, Germany.[1] He worked at the University of Bielefeld (1975–1989) and the University of Bremen (1989–1995), as well as at the Humboldt-University of Berlin (1995–2005). He worked as fellow and visiting professor at Stanford University and at Princeton University.

On 2 October 2025, it was announced that Offe had died at the age of 85.[2]
