Contraband is an American action crime thriller movie. It was directed by Baltasar Kormákur. It stars Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale. The movie is a remake of the 2008 Icelandic movie Reykjavík-Rotterdam which starred Kormákur. Contraband was released on January 13, 2012 in the United States by Universal Pictures. Filming took place in New Orleans, Louisiana and Panama City.[3] Contraband was released to DVD on April 24, 2012 with a rating of R.[4]
